The Cross E Ranch is a charming working ranch in Northern Utah. There are so many ways for kids to get involved at the Ranch, making it a great place to visit with the family.
While the Ranch is only open to the public a few times a year, they make those times count!
Baby Animal Festival
Who doesn’t love getting to play with baby animals? Nothing is better than visiting the Cross E Ranch for the Baby Animals Festival! Here you (and your kids) will get to pet all the cute baby goats, cows, pigs and more! You don’t just get to see the baby animals, you get to go inside the cages and pet them, hold them, and basically just love them to your heart’s desire! They have baby goats, chicks, cows, pigs, and bunnies. (The goats were our favorite!) There are tons of helpful farm hands available to assist and make sure both the kids and the animals stay safe and happy.
Cross E Ranch offers a few different summer camps ranging from 1-4 days where you’re kids (6 and older) will get to help with farm chores like feeding and watering the animals, planting crops, garden maintenance, brushing and grooming the farm animals, learning how to drive a tractor, etc.
Summer Fun Free Days
During the summer they offer a few free days where you can come visit the ranch for free and participate in some fun activities.
The Fall Festival at Cross E Ranch includes everything you could ever want to do! There’s a corn maze, hay rides, tons of cute animals, a corn pit, train rides, a straw maze for little ones, a hay pyramid, fire pits for s’mores, movies, hay rides, and music!
There’s also a few educational presentations depending on the day and times you decide to go. They milk the goats and bottle feed all the babies – so cute! There’s a goat obstacle course as well! They demonstrate how to sheer a sheep. And they also do a horseshoeing and saddling presentation.
Apply to Be a Ranch Hand Helper
If you have older kids, they can apply to be a Ranch Hand Helper and spend the day helping with the animals. This is a great opportunity to get to spend more time interacting with and learning about the animals. They will help prepare bottles and feed the babies as well as help with daily chores around the ranch like grooming the horses and milking the goats! You can find out more about being a ranch hand helper on the Cross E Website! (You must book this in advance).
Free Donut with Your Ticket
Each Ticket gets a free donut at the Apple Cider Donut Shop inside Cross E Ranch. Don’t forget to stop by and grab yours before you leave!
