Mokule’ia Beach is a beautiful, not well-known beach on Oahu’s North Shore. It has a long sandy beach with a shallow reef that attracts a variety of sea life, making it a great place to spend the afternoon.

The beach at Mokule’ia is beautiful, with a huge stretch of coastline and soft white sand that you just want to sink your toes into.

There’s also a shallow reef right along the shoreline that has tons of marine life. Turtles are known to frequent the area, and we were lucky enough to see 3 of them swimming along the reef while we were there.

Additional Highlights

Right above the beach is a park with a bunch of picnic tables and a large grassy area that makes a great spot to have lunch or play some games.

Because of the reef along the shoreline, this beach is an ideal location for surfing, fishing, windsurfing, and snorkeling. The summer months bring calm waters, but there can be some strong swells in the winter months.

You can camp at Camp Mokule’ia. They have cabins and tent pads here.
